Program Description

Two artists will be selected to share a 1100 square foot space that includes a separate meeting room. The residency is designed to be flexible: artists can choose to end their time with either an open studio or a final exhibition. The structure encourages exploration, reflection, and growth on each artist’s own terms with the gallery’s support. The resident artists will have access to weekly sessions with visiting critics organized by Picture Theory founder, Rebekah Kim, and Danielle Paterson, curator and program manager. Each session is tailored to the artist’s evolving needs—whether it’s conceptual development, writing and research, portfolio refinement, or professional strategy—and can take the form of workshops, one-on-one critiques, or guided discussions.
