About

The focus of CAMP is to use what we have – our artistic network, our facilities, our various record labels and publishing operations, our relationships with acclaimed artists and our artist support platforms – to provide people with a catalytic, game-changing masterclass experience, in inspiring surroundings. Every workshop is an explosive opportunity to move your practice forward, through close mentorship from the world's leading artists, musicians, writers and thinkers, to post-course opportunities including exhibitions, publication of your work, release on our various in-house record labels, broadcast opportunities on CAMP Radio, and touring hlp across our network of international partners.

Local Information

Nestled in the French Pyrenees at 750m altitude, 10km from the Spanish border and surrounded by snowcapped peaks, waterfalls and forests, is the picturesque thermal town of Aulus-Les-Bains. In the town, housed in a beautifully renovated 19th Century hotel, is CAMP - the first of a new breed of arts residency. We run short, catalytic workshops in art, music, literature and other subjects, led by the most acclaimed practitioners in the world - previous workshops have been taught by Terry Riley, Laure Prouvost, Bill Drummond, Annea Lockwood, Christina Kubisch and others. These are no ordinary courses - they are intense, artistic catalysts run by internationally acclaimed practitioners; creative flash points designed to change the lives of everyone involved. The courses combine work in our well equipped facilities with projects carried out in the mountains - check out the courses for full details.
