Eligibility
Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design offers state-of-the-art studio space for craftspeople to practice their creative skills. Our ceramic studio offers a great space for artisans to work on their craft. The Centre’s Short-Term Artist-in-Residence program is open to applications year-round and offers residencies of flexible lengths from two weeks to six months, depending on the needs of the artist.

Program Description
The purpose of the Artist in Residence Program is to offer artists the opportunity to use the studio space at Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design. Residents must be self-directed, able to work independently, able to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to work cooperatively within a shared studio. The Centre offers residencies to artists in ceramics. Artists in residence are given access to these studios at a subsidized studio rental rate.
