We aim to foster the production of contemporary art by offering a holistic rural environment where the process of each project is based on the individual art practice. ANIMA can host up to 10 artists in each residency season Residencies run February to December. ANIMA is surrounded by nature, is close to small communities, an eco village, natural hot springs, pre Hispanic sites, and also the culture of the city of Guadalajara, the second largest city in Mexico, which hosts some of the most important book fairs, films festivals, and folklore music festivals in Latin America.
