About
The Barcelona Academy of Art is a highly specialised school dedicated to the teaching of drawing, painting, sculpture and digital art with a complete curriculum and teaching methods derived from the classical-realist tradition. The Residency of Art offers their students and external candidates an opportunity to start their professional career in a studio where they will receive the necessary knowledge that will support their beginnings in the artistic/cultural industry. The resident will be part of a community of figurative artists, strengthening the current trend towards contemporary realism, a movement lead and supported by the European Museum of Modern Art [MEAM] in Barcelona.
