La Wayaka Current is a fluid & nomadic artist-led project, seeking new ecological and cultural perspectives in our global societies through exchange with indigenous communities in remote natural environments. In reaction to a loss of connection between humans and nature, we use art and creative research as ways to explore, reconnect and communicate ideas for a more conscious and sustainable future planet.

Local Information

LWC is a nomadic curatorial project. We have led expeditions into natural biomes across the planet at Arctic 70'N, Tropic 08'N and Desert 23'S. Here we work in partnership with indigenous groups, organisations and individuals experienced in fields of culture and ecology. Without a base our organisation is currently registered in London, UK.
