R.A.R.O. Is an itinerant Artists in Residence program created in order to generate spaces for exchange, creation and dissemination of work. R.A.R.O. introduces a format that has the particularity of being itinerant, receives national and international artists, curators, and cultural managers to develop their projects in the different R.A.R.O. workshops from the city of Barcelona at the same time that generates talks, meetings, visits and exhibitions that complement each project.

Local Information

Colectivo R.A.R.O. was born in Buenos Aires, in early 2014, as a result of its founders’ interest to generate spaces for reflection and production for artists, curators, and cultural managers. R.A.R.O. proposes an Itinerant Residency program that currently extends to Madrid and Barcelona. Since its creation, the R.A.R.O. team has formed a solid base of local artists’ ateliers in which other artists can come to develop their own projects. Currently, it has a total of 15 spaces in Barcelona, each of them directed by artists of wide trajectory and from different disciplines.
