Program Description

A trace is an ambivalent mark: it signifies the presence of what once was and, at the same time, points to its absence. It is both testimony and void, memory and projection. From this tension, the territory presents itself as a space where human presence, natural processes and collective imaginaries engage in constant dialogue. These residencies are framed within the concepts of body, territory and spatiality, understood as central axes of research and creation. In this edition, we would like to place special emphasis on the trace as a notion that cuts across these frameworks, inviting participants to explore it from multiple dimensions. However, this proposal will not be exclusive, but will remain open to projects that engage broadly with the programme’s curatorial lines.
