All authors and performers of any age and nationality can submit works in one of these categories: [A] Acousmatic ~ fixed media music. Multi-channel compositions are accepted. [B] Mixed Media ~ for instruments and electronics/ multimedia (fixed or live).
This year the [B] category is focused on the Ensemble in residence: OERKNAL! It is possible to submit works (already finished) using any combination of the following instruments : cello, clarinets, flutes, viola/violin, piano & keyboards (no harpsichord), percussion| + conductor. Instruments not included in the list above are available in any combination anyway. [C] AudioVisual ~ works with pre-prepared video and music. [D] LivePerformance/SoundArt ~ works that include electronics and other elements [for instance, a piece with a new interface, laptop, performer and interactive live video, real-time coding, laptop improvisation etc]. Sound/Media Installation are allowed

Program Description

The selection panel consists of professional and renowned composers/artists; it will assign: * AWARDS of DISTINCTIONS | usually one per category | The jury reserves the right not to award all or any of prizes, as well as to award ex-aequo prizes if it sees fit. * Honorary Mentions MA/IN panel jury: Annette Vande Gorne, Horacio Vaggione, Sarah Nemtsov, Anna Korsun, Fabio Cifariello Ciardi, Flavia Mazzanti, Daniele Ghisi, Gregory Charette, Marco Donnarumma. -- Thanks to the supports of Cycling '74, INA grm, and ABLETON the MA/IN will assign: * 4 Max/MSP 8 | full licenses (for category winners) * 4 Ableton Live Suite licenses * 1 GRM Spectral Transform * 1 GRM Classic * 1 GRM Evolution * 1 GRM Spaces * a fund “travel grants” of 3000€ in total in order to support selected artists.
