Program Description

NARS Foundation hosts International artists for 3, 6 or 12-month residencies and US-based artists for 3-month residencies, providing space and time in an artist community, located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY. Artists receive curatorial and project support, weekly studio visits, networking opportunities, and participate in a program designed to foster artistic experimentation and exchange among peers. In addition, artists have opportunities to present their work through public programming, exhibitions, and bi-annual Open Studios. PROGRAM FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: The three-month residency costs $6,600 (for 2020). PROGRAM FEES FOR US Based APPLICANTS: NARS International Artist Residency Program awards Partial Residential Fellowships for three months for artists who are based in the U.S. Artists who receive the Partial Fellowship are responsible for a program fee of $1,800 (in 2020).
