Eligibility

The programme is open to artists, performers, dancers, movement practitioners, researchers, and individuals from any discipline interested in embodied practice and creative work with the body. There is no age limit, and both individual and collective applications are welcome. No previous performance experience is required, but participants should be open to physical exploration and reflective research processes. The intensive is suitable for emerging and established practitioners seeking to deepen their creative method, reconnect with the body, or develop new performance work. Applicants must review the programme details and submit the online registration form to secure a place.

Program Description

The Performance Intensive is a 10-day programme taking place January 4–13, 2026 at Centro Negra in Blanca (Murcia, Spain). Led by Dr. Raegan Truax, it offers daily guided sessions, individual creative exploration, and one-on-one mentoring focused on embodied practice and performance research. Participants work in indoor and outdoor studios, with access to basic technical equipment and support from the AADK Spain team. Accommodation options include a private apartment (€1250), private room in a shared house (€975), or shared room (€800). The programme includes a welcome dinner, daily workshops, lunches on workshop days, mentoring, curatorial visit, and full photo/video documentation of the process.
