Program Description

The Traces / Huellas Residency invites artists to investigate the trace as a space between presence and absence-memory, territory and imagination shaping how we inhabit landscapes. Residents may explore the body, spatiality and site-specific processes, treating the territory of Blanca as both material and collaborator. Residencies take place at Centro Negra in Blanca (Murcia, Spain) between April and December 2026 and may last from one to six months. Participants receive workspace, basic technical equipment, individual mentoring and project documentation, with visibility through AADK Spain’s public programmes and digital platforms. Residents are encouraged to share their process during monthly Open Studios and contribute actively to the artistic community. Accommodation options: private room in shared house (€1000/month) or private apartment (€1300/month). Invitation letters available to support grant applications.
