Local Information
The residency at Brekka is based around its location, its remoteness at the head of a fjord, offers connection to landscape away from distractions giving time to contemplate or work. The silence and remoteness of the location we hope will help artists engage with new perspectives. Artists will live and work on their own at the Brekka, without any staff present some 12km from the nearest village. Our folklorist and manager, Gulla who will be visiting to check on the artists and to drive you to the nearest town for supplies as needed.
