Program Description
The attraction of this residency is the distance and quiet and beautiful location at the end a long fjord. The old farmhouse is very remote, a dirt and rock track 12km from the nearest village of Kroksfjardarnes. Artists will live together alone in the house. The sounds will be the wind, distant waterfalls, perhaps some sheep and birds. An ideal spot for planning, drawing, photography, video, thinking, writing, walking. There will be opportunities to connect with local community and your folklorist and farm (off site) resident manager has a long family history with the land and will provide information about the surrounding areas of the Westfjords.
