LimaQ Residency
About
LimaQ is a non-profit organization dedicated to artistic self-management, one of the objectives is exchange experiences between students and professionals, providing a platform for dialogue to stimulate new ideas and possibilities in the artistic context. LimaQ seeks to promote cultural exchange between national and international artists in order to generate intercultural artistic projects. Within these lines of work, the LimaQ team manages the artist un residence program to create dialogues that connect different expressions with peruvian context.
Local Information
The residency is located in the historic district of Pueblo Libre in the city of Lima, 30 minutes from the Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM). Pueblo Libre was the seat of government during the war and former hacienda of the liberators of Peru. Besides a great colonial and republican presence, the district houses valuable Inca and pre-Inca temples, as well as the two most important museums of archaeology in the country.
