Program Description

Fine Art • Jewelry/Metal Arts • Ceramics • Fiber Arts PROGRAM DATES AIRs = October 1, 2020 - May 15, 2021 (7 1/2 months) PAIRs = December 1, 2020 - February 28, 2021 (1-3 months) The Mendocino Art Center’s Artists in Residence (AIR) Program and the Professional Artists in Retreat (PAIR) Program bring emerging and established artists from all over the country to a unique art center on the rural Northern California coast. This secluded location provides tranquility in an historic artist community rich with inspiration and local talent. In addition to providing dedicated studio space and furnished studio apartments, the program provides the freedom to develop at one’s own pace in the chosen area of focus, as well as the opportunity for interaction with other disciplines. Our studios in Fine Art, Jewelry/Metal Arts, Ceramics and Fiber Arts are actively used for instruction, production, individual study and casual drop-in open studios.
