Eligibility
Our self-directed art residencies are designed for artists who prefer to work at their own pace, assisted by Arthaus, and surrounded by Havana artistic community. Arthaus welcomes international artists who want to develop their projects in Cuba, and are looking for an autonomous, artistic space with exhibition opportunities. This residency format has flexible stay limits. π© How to apply? Number of Participants
One or two residents, partners allowed. π¨ Whatβs included? π‘ Accommodation in an independent studio with a workspace, bathroom, and private kitchen. π Access to Casa Arthaus: a 54mΒ² exhibition space with video projection and 5.1 surround sound. π Opportunity to organize a final event, which can be an exhibition, talk, workshop, or screening. πΌοΈ Visits to local galleries and studios of Cuban artists. π Personalized advice to develop your project in Cuba. πΌ Curatorial support and portfolio review. π¬ Coordination of transportation between the airport and Arthaus. π‘ Interested in applying? Program Description
π° Residency Cost β¨ β¬300 for two weeks β¨ β¬500 for one month This price may vary depending on the projectβs characteristics. We adapt to the needs of each resident and can provide you with an invitation letter to help you arrange external financing. Who are we ? Hi, we are Grisel Antelo and Elena Molina, founders of the Arthaus Residency. We established it as a creative hub in Havana, back in 2016, to support artistic innovation and cultural exchange. Over the past eight years, Arthaus Residency has proudly hosted more than 50 artists working in fine arts, theater, filmmaking, music, writing, journalism, new media and more. Our residents have engaged in creative projects, collaborations, and cultural exchanges, contributing to the vibrant artistic community that defines Arthaus. Their diverse practices and contributions have shaped the residency into a dynamic hub for artistic innovation and dialogue in Havana.
