– Must reside in North America – Must be a professional artist – MFA preferred and a BFA with equivalent experience will be considered – Must be able to work on your own without assistance – Cannot be a current or recent (within two years) employee of Rowan University – Cannot be a current student or recent alumnus (within two years) of Rowan University

Program Description

The Department of Art at Rowan University seeks an engaging visual artist for the annual Artist in Residence Program. This residency supports the artistic development of professional artists while advancing creative and artistic excellence within the Rowan community. The residency period is one full semester and offers a $3000 stipend, a 280 square foot studio space, access to department of art facilities, an optional exhibition, and artist-led programming. The Artist in Residence Program provides students with an opportunity to observe an artist at work and to engage in dialogue with the artist through talks, demonstrations, and open studio visits.
