scotland artist residency. it’s an open-ended space in nature, accessible via bus from a ferry. if you’re interested, please respond with one sentence proposal for what you would like to work on here the response should reply with your expectations of the space. have you shared space before? do you understand the space is “as is”- simple, unfussy? i also organize with others, an experimental international art collective with open calls: gallery/music/audiovisual shows/releases/residencies/collaborations, and can discuss other opportunities in other places if of interest

AS IS there are 3 rooms, so might be a few residents, at maximum, though often the area is good for being alone Ground-floor flat with courtyards Former monastic community near old church Modest bedrooms, just the basics here: soap, towels, blankets, stove, washer, no dryer Few miles from town with grocery store, by bus it’s a small flat with amazing views. there is decent wifi and heaters that should be used judiciously (ask that you pay your heat bill) it’s a quiet workspace in nature: seeking those who are quiet considerate and ability to clean up after oneself for a retreat in nature. bring your own supplies. work desks available in some of the rooms. nearby hiking trails and castles, churches, arboretums, lochs, mountains.

Program Description

note that the residency is not funded but it is also not for profit- i ask that you provide here the amount you can afford to contribute towards the bills (heat, tax, etc.,) so we can arrange on a sliding scale to keep things running. deposit is only for final confirmation after dates have been determined- no spaces reserved until after deposit to determine commitment levels so that there is accurate room on the calendar for those interested.
