Eligibility

Candidates of different formation and schooling are welcome, but is expected consistent pratice on their acting areas since then (artists, curators, activists, dancers, actresses, choreographers, writers, etc).

Number of Participants

This open call invites new proposals for the selection of 8 participants for the CAPACETE program 2019, lasting for 10 months, from August 2020 to June 2021. The application form must be sent by e-mail to: opencall@capacete.org Along with the application form, the candidate must send a résumé (CV) and portfolio. Deadline for application and submission of material: 10th January 2020.

Program Description

The Program has as base weekly meetings with people and places that collaborate being the material and affective construction of artistic context of Rio de Janeiro city. The activities are also centered in monthly meetings with people that articulate from the vision proposed below (names of some collaborators are foreseen on this document), having as goal to inform the resident about the social, cultural and political dynamics of the expanded city. The program has the collective self-management of CAPACETE and the programming of public activities of the site in collaboration with Darcy Ribeiro Cinema School. This experience and investigation will have as focus the creation of an exercising, dialoguing and practicing platform that will not only assume the format of seminars, but will have as reference horizontality experiences and, for that, to invent ways of exchanging and learning.
