Eligibility
Taking place at Ha.aH art space in Barcelona, Spain, our residency offers artists the opportunity to participate in a collective exhibition exploring the theme of "Transitions" through their work or research. This program invites artists to reflect on and interpret the multifaceted nature of transitions—whether personal, social, environmental, or cultural. Selected artists will have the chance to present their works to Barcelona audiences with the guidance and support of our residency staff and associates. Number of Participants
Up to eight local and international artists will be selected to participate in the program. Individual artists or groups may apply. Applicants must be over eighteen years old and able to present a body of work in any contemporary art discipline. Residency Benefits - Participation in a collective exhibition. - Work and meeting space. - Technical and curatorial assistance for project development. - Snacks, water, and coffee. - Spanish-English translation support. Proposed Residency Activities - Development and production of the proposed project. - Community meetings: artist talks, and screenings. - Participation in Ha.aH’s events: workshops, talks, and seminars. - Visits to local artist studios, galleries, and museums. Program Description
Program Cost 500 EUR per participant. Each artist is responsible for airfare to and from Barcelona, accommodation, meals, and other personal expenses. Invitation letters will be provided for those seeking external funding. *We are an independent art space with no sponsors or donors. At this time we are unable to offer any scholarships or art grants. If you are selected, we can assist you in the process of applying for funding from your art council or other external organizations. Application Guidelines Interested artists should submit a single PDF document to spacehaah@gmail.com containing: 1. Project Proposal: - Brief summary of your project and its connection to the theme Transitions. - Timeframe and space/material requirements. - Reference images (optional). 2. Work Portfolio: CV and images/videos of past work. 3. Scanned Passport: Expiration date must be at least three months after the residency.
