No previous knowledge of sound or audio is required. Open to anyone wishing to reconnect to the power of nature, improve their listening skills, and rekindle their creativity and joy. And, in the process, discover first hand the incredible cultural and culinary heritage of Basilicata.

Program Description

Piano Piano Immersive Listening Retreat, 21-26th June 2019, Basilicata, South of Italy Immerse yourself in the pristine soundscape of Italy’s largest national park, and open your ears. Gently guided by a professional sound artist, 6 participants will stay in a beautifully restored Palazzo from 1822 (with daily breakfast and full use of kitchen, meditation spaces and panoramic terrace) and enjoy daily site-specific soundwalks, ear cleansing exercises, listening sessions and outdoor activities designed to reconnect with the power of listening in all its forms: as an opening to the natural soundscape, to each other, and to our own inner voice.
