Program Description

The Artist Studios program at the Museum of Arts and Design is currently accepting applications for the MAD Artist Fellowship, awarded to one artist for six months spanning August 6, 2019, through February 2, 2020. All interested candidates must complete and submit an electronic application by Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 11:59 pm EST. The Artist Studios program at the Museum of Arts and Design hosts artists and designers daily in a live studio environment, serving as both a platform for creativity and an innovative model of engagement. Within the “open studio” format, artists-in-residence welcome dialogue around concepts, materials, and processes, offering museumgoers the exciting chance to meet working artists while providing residents with the remarkable opportunity to actively participate in the public’s engagement with their work. Founded in 2008, the program has served over 160 artists and designers to date.
