Eligibility

Mustarinda works largely with volunteer work. We hope that the residency guests take part to some of shared tasks in the house like cleaning, gardening in the summer or snow work in the winter time. During the residency months there might be some short-time workshops or visitors in the house, and we also wish children welcome. If you're looking for a very quiet place to work, please mention it in your application.

The applicant may apply for a specific space depending on their needs and working methods. Depending on the timing, families can be accommodated by the larger bedrooms or two separate rooms. Mustarinda can accommodate 5 – 8 residents each month.

Program Description

Open call for residencies: Working period: 1 – 2 months during SPRING /// 1st February 2020 – 30th April 2020 AUTUMN /// 1st September 2020 – 30th November 2020 Application deadline: 20th October 2019 Applicants will be informed about decisions by the end of November. The Mustarinda Association reaches towards a post-fossil culture by combining scientific knowledge and experiential artistic activity and aims to continually reduce its carbon footprint and that of those associated with it. In keeping with this, through the AIR Open Call 2020 we are attempting to promote other forms of transport than air travel. To support this ideal we are offering a few slow travel support grants for those applicants willing to use alternative means of transport. Applications to residency program will be submitted by using the online application form Due to limited resources and the large number of applications received, we are unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications.
