Program Description

The art residency program will bring together professional artists from around the world to the rural region of Meghalaya, North-East India, for one month. This residency offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the untouched beauty of nature, explore mysterious monoliths and root bridges, experience the rich traditional culture of this scenic hill region, and share expertise in creative thinking through organized group workshops for school children. Artists will be given time for individual contemplation and the creation of their artworks in a studio space located near their accommodation. Interaction between the invited artists and local artists from Meghalaya is anticipated. Additionally, the artists will share their knowledge through organized workshops for local schools. At the end of the residency program, a final exhibition will be held, where each artist will present the artworks created during the residency and share their experiences with the invited guests.
