Eligibility

Our Self-Directed Residency is open to emerging and established artists, writers and creatives (of all disciplines).

Number of Participants

Indulge in an affordable self-directed residency in our historic Caetani heritage house (studios also available for rent at $5/day) in the gorgeous North Okanagan Valley (Canada's wine country!) close to downtown Vernon, BC. You are welcome to apply as an individual, as artistic collaborators and as couples. Our 3 residencies consist of 3 private rooms in a second floor suite with shared bathroom, kitchen, living room as well as main-floor library and entryway.

Program Description

CURRENT + UPCOMING AVAILABILITY: Fogliano Room: 2020: immediately - April 4th. June 8th - October 31st. December 1st onwards. Caetani Room: 2020: March 11th onwards. Sermoneta Room: 2020: Apr. 8th - 29th. Nov. 1st onwards. DATES: ongoing availability (minimum 2 weeks, maximum 3 months) RATES: between $10-$30/night depending on room + season APPLICATION DEADLINE: anytime NOTIFICATION DEADLINE: within 5 days of application being submitted WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Open to emerging and established artists and creatives (of all disciplines) INCLUDED IN THE RESIDENCY: for a reasonable fee (between $10-$30/night depending on room + season) artists stay in their own room with shared accommodations (kitchen, bathroom, living room, entryway) at the Caetani Cultural Centre (a heritage house walking distance of downtown Vernon.) If desired, artists booked for 4+ weeks are offered the opportunity to teach a workshop and/or host a reading/pop-up art exhibit.
