Eligibility

The Field Kitchen Academy is open to everyone from every walks of life. The only priority is to have an interest in the topics of sound.

Number of Participants

10 participants will be selected. The selection process will be pursued by a jury including Mario Asef, Ursula Block, Cevdet Erek, Brandon Labelle, and Ece Pazarbaşı.

Program Description

Application deadline for SCHOLARSHIP and participation is 23 June 2019, 23:59 CET Open call for an educational residency with JULIANA HODKINSON (composer and musician) EMMA HOWES (contemporary dancer) ROBERT LIPPOK (composer and visual artist) & ALI M. DEMIREL (visual artist) HANS PETER KUHN (sound and visual artist) JI WOO & SUN WOO (Zen masters) JUHANI PALLASMAA (architect) Chef in Residence: BETÜL İNSEL KARAHAN A total of 10 interdisciplinary residents will be selected to join the upcoming FIELD KITCHEN ACADEMY in its two modules. Curated by Ece Pazarbaşı, this year, under the title of SILENCE WITH THE CONSENT OF SOUND, we will use the notion of silence in sound as a gateway to opening various sensory experiences. Composed of two intertwined modules, the selected residents will have the opportunity of pursuing processes of experimentation, discussion, trial and error, the progression of knowledge, and know-how in working sessions.
