Malt AIR is open for professional visual artists working outside of Denmark. Applicants must have documented experience working with curators and exhibiting work at a high professional level.
Number of Participants
It is possible to apply as an artist duo, but in that case we cannot provide private bedrooms.

Program Description
Malt AIR is a funded artist residency program that focuses on networking and research. It aims to support the artistic process by giving artists time, space and opportunity for reflection and focus, in close dialogue with Danish artists and other art professionals in Denmark. Malt AIR is a collaboration between Maltfabrikken, Art Hub Copenhagen, and The Jutland Art Academy, with strategic partners Aarhus Center for Visual Art, The House for Art and Design, and The Danish Art Workshops. Each year, Malt AIR hosts six artists-in-residence across three residency periods. Each residency is built around a program of core activities hosted by the partner organizations. These include: - Artist talks and presentations - A one-week stay in Copenhagen - Student workshops - Institution visits Malt AIR is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation.
