Writers can apply for their desired length of stay on our website, www.rockvalewriterscolony.org. Directors will be in contact within 30 days of application to arrange the writers' stay.

Program Description

Rockvale Writers' Colony is nestled in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, just 40 miles south of the bustling hub of Nashville. Writers can stay from 1 - 4 weeks in their own private bedroom, complete with ensuite bathroom. Plenty of common areas are available for independent work and several more private structures are available for those who desire complete solitude to finish their writing project. Writers in the Main Farmhouse are welcome to share the large, fully-equipped kitchen, but must bring their own food to prepare. RWC exists to support, promote, and educate writers of all backgrounds who write in any genre. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and inspiring environment where writers can settle in as “writers in residence” to work on a writing project.
