Eligibility

Art Print Residence staff will select high quality projects, giving priority to those based in printmaking. We accept projects that should be possible to realize in our installations, using our facilities and expertise. We also consider artist’s statement and previous work. There is no specific Call for submission to work in Art Print Residence. We are open all year on a first come, first served basis. So book in advance and be sure there is space to accommodate you and your project.

We normally accept 3 or 4 artists in residence at the same time. During the courses we can accommodate a maximum of 10 students.

Program Description

Art Print Residence offers its professional printmaking workshop to visual artists who desire to develope their own project. Art Print Residence is specialized in intaglio printmaking and woodcut, so Master platemaker can give technical advice and personal assistance to the artists (if the artists need it). APR can also accomodate artists of other disciplines like writers, drawers, illustrators... Residency period: minimum 1 week – maximum 3 months In case the artist needs a longer period to develop his project we can study this possibility. The artists in residence must live in the apartment during the residency. Our shop is divided into several specific work areas. Mechanical zone with a wide variety of saws, milling machines, guillotines, flexible shafts, drills, and a set of electrical tools. Artists are able to work on metal materials (copper) as well as on plastic and wood. We can accommodate copper plates up to a maximum size of 100×200 cm. 39.3×78.74 inches.
