Eligibility

The Out Of The Circle art residency is for visual and digital artists, curators and researchers, who would like to discover the contemporary Egyptian life, traditions, arts and culture. The residency is based in Mohandessin, Cairo. The residency offers a chance for the participant to first conceptualize and then realize a specific residency project. The project can be a visual or digital art project, research as well as a workshop the residence would like to conduct.

Number of Participants

The apartment for the art residency is available for one person by time but it is available also for small family. The duration of the residency can be from two weeks to three months and the fee is 100$ per week.

Program Description

After the success of our residency program in 2018, Out Of The Circle art residency program are happy to open a new call for visual or digital artists, curators or Researchers to develop their works as well as to discover Egyptian Culture and arts in the heart of Cairo. The residency period is from 2 weeks to 3 months in year 2019. Please send us your application at outofthecircle.org@gmail.com to reserve your place before deadline. The residency fee is 100$ per weeks that include our support and arts management to help you presenting you work or research. The residence artists, curators or research are welcome to present a presentation about their works in beginning of the residency for Egyptian audience and artists. We appreciate that you have a project or a research that you want to work on during the residency and we will be happy to help you completing it. Out Of The Circle Studio is a calm space in the heart of Cairo in a calm street in Mohandessin Area.
