Program Description

Visions in the Nunnery is the Nunnery Gallery’s renowned biennial showcase of recent moving image and performance artwork. The open call is an opportunity to be part of one of the most varied and exciting presentations of moving image in London. We invite submissions from all over the world to exhibit with each year's especially invited lead artists whose work will set the tone for the three programmes. Visions 2020 will be the 12th edition of the exhibition. Drawing on its rich history, Visions now invites three established artists to lead programmes for each exhibition, setting the tone and themes for the open call. 2020’s first lead artist has been announced as 2019 Jarman Award winner Hetain Patel. Visions will be selected by artist and selector Tessa Garland, Sophie Hill, Director of Arts + Events at Bow Arts, and artist and curator Kamila Kuc.
