Eligibility
The Experimental Visual Media Program provided support and a stipend to artists in New York State working with emergent visual media. We are best equipped to support artists who want to explore holographic imaging, optics, light art, installation, inter-dimensional imagery, expanded cinema and mixed reality.
Number of Participants
Each year we support four artists or groups to experiment with emergent visual forms. Artists in the program can also apply to exhibit or perform created work as part of the SPACE:LIGHT exhibition at The Plaxall Gallery in Long Island City (mid Nov & Dec).

Program Description
Artists receive mentorship, materials support and a $600 stipend. Artists are invited to a range of workshops to introduce new technologies and connected to industry professionals to help further their projects. In the past we have support analog and digital holography, experimental stereo-3D, volumetric video, projection installation and augmented reality. Open to New York State artists with preference to emerging, early career and under represented artists. Enrolled students are not eligible for this program - if you graduate in 2020 you may apply and start your project after graduation.
