Eligibility

Hidden Turtle Residency for Scientists, Artists, Makers and More is for professionals emerging into their fields and for those established in their work who are also interested in an investigation of PLACE and interdisciplinary discourse. Evidence of recent work is requested.

Number of Participants

Up to 8 live/work spaces are available. Number of participants will depend on who would like to share a room. If a collective is participating, would the living space be shared?

Program Description

Hidden Turtle Residency is an immersion opportunity in a very unique, exquisitely gorgeous and delicate ecosystem along the Southeastern coast of Mexico in the jungle adjoining the Caribbean coastline. We invite a global range of individuals working across a range of disciplines including visual/media/literary/performing arts, natural and social sciences, scholars, makers, designers. The Hidden Turtle Residency is time out of the ordinary in a PLACE that is extraordinary. Research, practice, play, make work, dream, ask questions, collect data, explore, find stillness, discover.... Experiment. Dialogue. Collaborate. Bear witness to yourself in relation to Place. Make a difference.
