Eligibility

The ONE ARTIST A WEEK residency+exhibition programme addresses international artists wishing to develop and present their work in Athens folowing an intensive creative and learning process. Artists working in all disciplines, designers, actors, dancers, urban planners, scriptwriters, art journalists, art historians, curators, crafters and art business professionals (gallerists, cultural managers, fund raisers) are welcome to apply. Applicants must be at least 30 years old. E-mail your application including a short introduction of yourself (CV, website link, 4 to 6 images of your work or a max 200 words of your project) stating your incentive to participate in the ONE ARTIST A WEEK residency project. ONE ARTIST A WEEK always starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. Do not forget to state your preferred dates to attend the programme in 2019. There is the possibility to stay longer in Athens after the ONE ARTIST A WEEK programme is over if you wish. Please, ask for details.

Program Description

ONE ARTIST A WEEK questions the dynamic of quickly changing trends, topics and "fashions" in the international art world and asks how each of the participating artists individually responds to this development. ONE ARTIST A WEEK not only offers accommodation and exhibition space in the center of Athens, it also supports the artists with press, media and communication work, and helps to set up the exhibition/presentation at the end of the week. PROGRAMME DETAILS: • Living and working space in downtown Athens (7 days/6 nights) • A 4-day curated solo exhibition in a downtown Athens venue • Promotional support, press and media networking • Customized introduction into ancient and contemporary Greek culture and a 4 hour customized city tour. • Documentation on the FaveLAB website (see: http://www.myths2013.net/favelab/projects.html )
