Tangent Projects
Eligibility
Open to all artists, at all stages in their career. We welcome applications from national and international artists, however, any visa requirements must be organised by the successful candidates. We encourage applications from artists/creatives working in all different media, we do not limit the type of work submitted and are open to interesting ideas and suggestions, within the realm of our capabilities. All applicants must be adults, over the age of 18. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 and have a vaccination certificate.
Number of Participants
Residency placements to be between: September - December 2022/January - April 2023/April - July 2023. Please let us know your preferred dates in your motivation text. We will be able to accept 6 candidates during the year, 2 placements per residency.

Program Description
As a not-for-profit cultural association, Tangent Projects is artist-driven and focused. We provide fair-priced, comfortable studio spaces for artists to work in a creative and dynamic environment whilst also connecting and engaging with others working in the arts, both locally and globally. Adjoined to Tangent Projects gallery, the studios are an intrinsic part of a growing and active network of art workers. We offer - A studio with 24 hour access (for the duration of the residency) An association of friendly international artists A communal space for relaxing, and also for meetings (with other artists, curators, gallerists etc) On hand curatorial support Artist talks/presentations Regular communal get-togethers Visits to galleries, studios and other art spaces An onsite gallery with an exciting and expansive exhibition schedule Open studio days (covid permitting) A final wrap-up project, including a zine publication
