OPEN CALL VENE.Re Artist Residency Programme

Eligibility
The three residencies are open to individual artists, companies or collectives with at least two years of professional experience. The call is open to projects in the fields of theatre, dance and performing arts. Applications must be submitted no later than 31 January 2026 through the online form: https://forms.gle/8cggw3Guz5nMjLrJ6. The call is divided into three categories: regional, national and European. Applicants must select the appropriate category in the application form based on the location of the legal office of the company or on the artist’s place of residence. All eligible projects submitted within the deadline will be evaluated on the basis of their artistic and cultural value, with particular attention to quality, originality, innovation and development potential. The selection results will be communicated by 28 February 2026.
Number of Participants
Through this open call, the Veneto Residency Centre invites applications to support the artistic research of three artists or companies. Collectives has to be of a maximum of 5 people. The residency grant is as follows: €2,000.00, including taxes (and VAT if applicable), for individual artists or companies/collectives of up to 2 members. €3,000.00, including taxes (and VAT if applicable), for companies/collectives from 3 up to a maximum of 5 members. Accommodation costs will be covered by the Veneto Residency Centre. Travel, meals and any additional expenses are to be covered within the agreed fee.

Program Description
The Veneto Residency Centre – Vene.Re is a network formed by Teatro del Lemming (Rovigo), Fondazione Teatro Comunale Città di Vicenza, and the Municipality of Bassano del Grappa – Operaestate Festival Veneto/CSC. The aim of the Veneto Residency Centre is to support artistic residencies as experimental laboratories for the performing arts, offering space and support to multidisciplinary artists at regional, national and international levels. Through this open call, the Veneto Residency Centre invites applications to support the artistic research of three artists or companies. Each selected project will be awarded a 15-day residency, to be carried out across different venues of the Centre, and will include at least two public sharings in two different locations.
