The candidate should: • have experience in projects connected with landscape and outdoor contexts in the fields of Visual Art, Land Art, Architecture, Performing Art, etc.; • be used to or have a predisposition to community life (multifunctional spaces, shared accomodation, group meals,...); • be younger than 35 during the art residency (April - June 2020); • be living in Italy.

Program Description

Demetra Association and Casa Laboratorio Cenci promote RADICI, a creative residence for landscape artists: a connecting space for art experimentation, reflections on environmental issues and inclusive practices, in a perspective of human ecology. The 9 artists selected will live and work in groups of 3 in Centro di Palmetta -and it's garden- for 15 days each. The three moments will start with a two days training at Casa Laboratorio Cenci. Every time an invited artist will participate and accompany the selected artists through the process. The invited artists will be Andreco, DEM and Emanuela Ascari. Each residence period will end with a public presentation of the results: informal conversation, walk, exposition, performance. The common thread of RADICI will be the tree: > The atmospheric tree: April 17th-May 4st > The cosmic tree: May 13th-30th > The nutritional tree: June 3rd-20th The project is funded by MiBACT and SIAE, through the program "Per chi crea".
