Artists, curators, writers and researchers from all backgrounds are invited to the open call. The diversity of participants in previous events has created fresh outlooks and exceptional work, and we intend to build on these unique synergies during our Bali residency.

Program Description

18 February - 1 March 2019 ISLANDS OF CONSCIOUSNESS A BecomeBecome Nomadic Art Residency, Exhibition, and Symposium in Bali, Indonesia Becomebecome is thrilled to announce its 5th nomadic residency and exhibition program taking place in magnificent Bali, Indonesia. In collaboration with our local partners Ketemu Project, the Bali Purnati Art Foundation and Cata Odata Gallery, this full-immersive journey investigates transdisciplinary approaches to the theme Islands of Consciousness. During this 12-day residency in the town of Ubud, we will engage with a multi-layered program of exchange, territory exploration and wellbeing practices. Our program will include studio interventions with local Balinese artists, an exhibit, and a symposium, as well as holistic labs.
