Eligibility

We welcome artists from diverse disciplines, including but not limited to film and video, literary arts, performing arts, sound and music, and visual arts. You don’t need to be an expert in air pollution, climate change, agriculture, food security, deforestation, light pollution, waste management, or water contamination; we’re looking for creative approaches that can provide fresh perspectives on these pressing environmental challenges. Whether this is a new area of focus for you or not, we encourage you to bring your curiosity and genuine interest in exploring the topic. Studio 88 will select the participating artists, continuing our ongoing work in environmental sustainability. Selected artists will be notified via email by December 15, 2024.

Program Description

Studio 88 is inviting applications from artists of all disciplines who engage with themes of climate, environment, and sustainability for the Reviving Nature 2025 Artist Residency, taking place from January 10 to February 6, 2025, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The deadline to apply is November 15, 2024. This program aims to raise awareness and inspire action through artistic expression. We aim to encourage both local and international audiences to think critically about environmental issues and explore how art can restore natural ecosystems. We welcome artists from diverse disciplines, including but not limited to film and video, literary arts, performing arts, sound and music, and visual arts.
