Summer Residencies for Photographers & Makers

Makers Circle

No Funding
Marshall, United States

Eligibility

These unique, short-term residencies offer competitive opportunities for emerging and mid-career photographers, artists and makers. Applications are reviewed as we receive them until all spaces are filled. Artists are in residence for 1-3 weeks. Residency fees: $350 USD per week (two weeks - $600, 3-weeks - $900) All residencies are currently financially subsidized in order to make them accessible to emerging artists. In addition, Makers Circle acknowledges the financial and cultural inequity that exists in many arts institutions and feel committed to extending our resources and support to people from communities that have been marginalized, oppressed or economically disadvantaged. If you need financial assistance, please don't hesitate to mention that in your application. If you are looking for non-competitive opportunities, we also offer artists retreats with sliding-scale fees on a first-come-first-served basis.

Number of Participants

1-3 In order to provide each resident with plenty of space to work, we only accept 1-3 residents at a time. Spaces are limited. All residency applications are evaluated as they are received until all spaces are filled.
