Eligibility

Number of Participants

The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts awards up to 35, two- to eight-week residencies per six-month session. Our facilities accommodate up to five residents at a time, generally in the mix of two writers, two visual artists, and one composer/musician.

Program Description

The mission of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts is to support established and emerging writers, visual artists, and composers by providing working and living environments that allow uninterrupted time for work, reflection, and creative growth and to present and support arts-related programming that expands public awareness and appreciation of the arts. The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts is housed in a 1969 Prairie style building offering apartment, studio, and gallery spaces.
