Eligibility

Eligibility and Open Call The LIVE WORKS open call is accessible to artists and professionals from all geographic locations and of any age, working individually or in groups. It is specifically targeted at unpublished or long-term projects—works that have the potential for development or are at a concluding phase, where participation in the program will allow the artist to evolve or complete the project. This open call encourages submissions of innovative projects that explore diverse formats of live performance. Artists and groups who wish to explore the boundaries of performance in the context of contemporary art, whether through new media, text, or interdisciplinary approaches, are invited to apply.

Number of Participants

The LIVE WORKS open call selects 6 participants each year to develop their innovative performance projects with curatorial and production support. These artists are chosen to participate in the residency and final presentation at the Live Works Summit 2026.

Program Description

Program Focus and Structure curated by Barbara Boninsegna (artistic director and founder of Centrale Fies) Simone Frangi (researcher, critic, and curator) The selected projects will be given access to various forms of support, designed to guide their development: -Fellowship: €3,000.00 for each selected project to support research and production. -Kick-Off Seminar: Participation in the Kick Off Seminar (18-20 July 2025) during Live Works Summit 2025 for networking and exchange. -Individual Residency: 15-day residency at Centrale Fies to develop the project. -Collective Residency: Group residency during Live Works Summit 2026 in summer 2026. -Support: Curatorial and production assistance during both residencies to help with project development. -Final Presentation: The projects will be presented at Live Works Summit 2026, evaluated by international professionals. -Travel, Food, and Accommodation: Covered during both residency periods.
