Eligibility

CultureHub is currently looking for artists who are developing projects that explore emerging technologies and new modes of storytelling. For example, submissions may include but are not limited to: Projects exploring new forms of Digital Storytelling (i.e. VR, 360 Video, AR, Live Web, Networked Performance) Projects exploring networked devices or spaces in a performative or immersive context Projects that develop cross platform, multi-location, or web-based experiences Projects that propose narratives/structures that connect our studios in New York, Los Angeles, Seoul, Italy, and Indonesia.

Program Description

CultureHub supports year-long residencies for artists creating technologically-informed work. CultureHub Resident Artists have the opportunity to host events, teach workshops, and develop their own projects. CultureHub studios in New York and Los Angeles are flexible spaces equipped with reconfigurable lighting, audio, video, and projection systems. CultureHub is now accepting applications for Resident Artists in New York and Los Angeles. Selected Resident Artists will receive a $2000 stipend, dedicated studio space, and technical assistance from the CultureHub team throughout the year. Residencies will take place July 1, 2019–June 30, 2020. Please specify in your application which location you are applying to.
