Eligibility

The call is open to artists of Mexican nationality regardless of their country of residence. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. About the artworks: Each artist must submit a minimum of two and a maximum of three artworks, with a maximum size of 80 x 80 cm each. Works to be projected/in video format will be presented with a maximum screening size of 60 x 60 cm. The artworks submitted must be shipped with all the components needed for installation. Artworks containing hazardous elements will not be accepted. If selected, the artworks should sent be ready for display. Any artwork that does not comply with the specifications above will be automatically disqualified. Méxtasis will accept only original artworks that are property of the author and created from 2013 onwards

Program Description

The application deadline is Fryday, August 10, 2018 at 11:59 pm EST. In order to apply, the following documents are required: ~ Biography (200 words max.) ~ Artist’s Curriculum vitae (200 words max.) ~ Description of the artwork (200 words max.) ~ Non-refundable fee of $25 USD (credit/debit). The fee is intended for administrative purposes only ~ Artworks: Digital images (min. 2 max. 3). 1. Images must be submitted as JPG files, 800 pixels max for each side, at 300 dpi 2. Each file should be saved as "last name-first name- #" (e.g. Paul-Pérez-01.jpg / Pablo-Perez-02.jpg / etc.) 3. Jpg files will have to be uploaded together with the application ~ Artworks: Audio / Video 1. Applicants must submit a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of three (3) video / audio clips 2. Web links to external sites (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) will be accepted 3. Applicants must provide all information needed to access password-protected videos
