Program Description

Can Serrat, of approximately 1187 square meters, is an old classic Catalan farmhouse. In 1989, eleven Norwegian artists bought the house and began renovations. Can Serrat is located in the beautiful surroundings of El Bruc, a small village that overlooks the mountain of Montserrat, and is only 45 kilometers from Barcelona. The house offers different spaces and workshops to work in an impressive natural environment. A pleasant walk takes you from the house to the foot of the mountain, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the nails of Montserrat. Can Serrat is a space of creation, processes, and community. We are particularly interested in the process, without pressure for an end result, research, doubts, curiosity, and debate.  The programming reflects this interest through small group dialogues, sharing and supporting.
