Can Serrat Art Residency





Eligibility
This open call invites all themes and mediums. Selected residents will have time and space to work on their projects while they are in residence at Can Serrat. The jury has 3 main criteria for evaluating the applications: The singularity of the proposal. Relevance the proposal has in relation to the Can Serrat program/context and to the notion of community. The feasibility and sustainability of the project.
Number of Participants
STIPENDS/INVITATIONS The jury will select 21 proposals to be part of the contemporary art program during the summer fall of 2024. The breakdown of the stipends and invitations will be the following: 1 full invitation for up to 4 months (Jul, Ago, Sept, Nov). 20 partial invitations #1 - (Cost of a shared room is 775,50*€/month <max 3 people/room>, private room is 1135,50€*/month.) -

Program Description
CONDITIONS GENERAL CONDITIONS Housing at Can Serrat in a shared or private bedroom. Access to shared studio space. Food: we provide dry food basics for the household + a weekly delivery of communal fruit and vegetables. Additionally, communal dinners are prepared every Friday. You will be notified of other prepared shared meals or potlucks. Access to all communal spaces and equipment. Access to all organized activities. Covers travel for visits organized by Can Serrat. Human and technical resources (based on need and feasibility). Connection to the local territory. Communication on social networks. Work featured in a biennial project catalog.
