Open call to international residency "Creative ecologies and the aesthetic of autonomy"

CASA GIAP

San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico

Eligibility

The call is directed at artists and researchers who want to work on topics related to art, environment and ecology, framed by ideas of autonomy such as those shaping the contemporary Zapatista Movement. Residents will participate in theoretical and practical sessions on the aesthetics and politics of radical environmental justice, drawing from and interacting with a context like Chiapas where the “environment” exists at the intersection of flourishing nature, capitalist exploitation, extractivism, anti-capitalist economies, resistance, and the creative construction of another world.
