Number of Participants

Single artists and artists with partners are allowed to attend this open call. Sabinarti also welcomes international groups of artists already involved in a joint project to work together (9 people max.).

Program Description

Artists are hosted at “Palazzo del Gatto”, in the medieval village of Casaprota, (Sabine region, in the centre of Italy). They have access to studio and working spaces, located inside the Palazzo and in the large garden with a fantastic inspirational landscape. Inside the Palazzo, there are four bedrooms, single and double, and three ½ bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, two living rooms, the original storeroom (now a multifunctional space and study hall), and a wine cavern. The nearby municipal theatre is available for performers, as well as the adjacent exhibition hall. During their residency, artists are asked to develop a project that establishes a relationship with the territory and/or its inhabitants. Artists have opportunities to interact with locals and to visit the surroundings. At the end of the residency works are exhibited to the community.
