Program Description

TechnoMirage is a collaborative event series by Underground Art and Design (UAAD) and Liminal, exploring AI’s dual role as both liberator and oppressor. Through a virtual exhibition, in-person NYC gathering, global online panel, and a publication, we invite critical and creative engagement with AI’s cultural, political, and speculative dimensions. Programs include: Ghost in the Feedback Loop — A virtual exhibition on New Art City featuring works that confront algorithmic erasure, distortion, and spectral agency. TechnoMirage IRL (NYC) — A gathering with a panel, speculative workshop, and live AV performances reclaiming AI for care, resistance, and radical storytelling. Global Panel — Online dialogue co-hosted with Parsons on authorship, labor, and creative agency. Publication — A living archive of artworks, interviews, and community contributions from across the series.
